Cap Digital is the French cluster of digital content and information technologies. Cap Digital has more than 300 members from both the private and public sectors - large enterprises and 80% of small-to-medium sized businesses on the one hand, and universities, research laboratories, public establishments on the other. The cluster spans 6 different domains: knowledge engineering, digital heritage, image, sound and interactivity, video games, e-education and e-learning, digital lifestyle and services. Cap Digital has formed a working group on collaborative technologies and intelligence called “Technologies et Intelligences Collaboratives”.

The Images & Réseaux cluster brings together players from information, telecommunications and audio-visual technologies, established in Brittany and Pays-de-la-Loire French regions. Jointly, they design the key technologies, products and services that best suit new media networks and uses.

NEM (Networked and Electronic Media) is one of the European Industrial Initiatives, also known as Technology Platforms, established by relevant key European stakeholders, which address the convergence of media, communications, consumer electronics, and IT as a wide opportunity for future growth, by taking advantage of generalized broadband access, increased mobility, availability of richer media formats and contents, as well as new home networks and communications platforms.

The FICAM (Federation of the Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industry) is France’s national audiovisual and media federation.
